▶ Listen to this episode

James Adeleke thought his future lay in football, but a serious injury meant he had to rethink his plans (much to his mum's relief) and study law instead.

In this episode James talks about how meeting a homeless man after the London Riots affected his thinking, what turned his society at law school into the social enterprise Generation Success and why his mum has forgiven him for not following through a legal career.

James talks about his feelings of exposure as he went through dyslexia assessments, how he copes with heading up the multi-faceted social enterprise Generation Success. He also talks about becoming a dad, choosing his son's name, and managing his workload and parenting with very early morning starts, journalling and praying.

Hear how GS empowers young people from UK-wide reach their career aspirations, regardless of their circumstance or background, through mentoring, networking and internships. Hear what James has to say about promoting and enabling social mobility, diversity, and inclusion, and why Generation Success's ethos is more important than ever.

James urges business leaders and organisations to sign up for Generation Success's Open Your Doors event in September as he seeks to make a lasting impact on inclusivity and to change the world, not only for his son, but to bring success to generations in the future.
